Stress affects everything: your mood, your skin, your digestive system, your metabolism, your immune system … so it is well worth paying attention to!
This week, we’ll be learning about the symptoms of chronic stress, and some simple strategies for reducing the stress in your life.
In this module, we’re going to learn about the hormones that have the greatest effect on our weight and metabolism and strategies to balance them.
We began talking about weight management last week as we were learning about hormones and metabolism … and we’re going even deeper in this module into the topic of weight loss.
In this module, we’re going to more fully explore the connection between food and mood. Mood influences our eating behavior…but also, food can affect our mood!
This week, we’re going to be considering a pillar of health that is often overlooked, and that is: sleep.
Sleep influences our health & well being in countless ways — which is something you’ll be learning about this week.
You’ll also learn about many of the things that can affect the quality of our sleep, and more importantly: what you can do about it.
This week, we’re going to find ways to get you moving! We’re going to begin by learning about the concepts of natural movement and opportunistic exercise. Then we’ll look at your mindset around being more active, and then some strategies for making exercise a habit and creating a plan that works for you and your lifestyle.
This week we will dive into a topic that is often neglected among busy women and that is self-care!
Social wellness tends to receive less attention and than physical and mental health, even though the way you interact with others plays a big role in your overall wellbeing. This week we’re going to consider some strategies for building supportive relationships and strengthening your sense of community.
In this module we’re going to look at the happiness-health connection and I’m going to give you a number of strategies to boost happiness and contentment in your life.
